SOCES offers all students under the age of eighteen to stay with Beyond the Bell after school. Beyond the Bell is a program where kids are able to hangout with their classmates, eat food from the cafeteria, and have extra time to study. Y.S. is such a great program as parents are not always available to pick up their children due to their work schedules. This program helps to supervise students while they can still have fun with friends. Students that stay after school also have the privilege to eat the Hot Supper Meal provided everyday.

When asked why do you stay after school, 4th grader, Sofia Santos said “I’m bad at math, so I stay after school to study and also because my parents have to work.” And when asked if she liked it here at YS, Harper Howard, Sofia’s best friend, replied enthusiastically, “I love it here! My old school had so much drama but here it’s much nicer. ” Kids are not allowed to go around campus too without another staff member to supervise, but that doesn’t restrict Sofia, Harper, and all the other students to have fun at SOCES in the Beyond the Bell program.
