It's Tennis Season, which means the boy's Tennis team is currently in playoffs.
Captain of the boy's tennis team Roen Chu exclaimed, “We play hard as a team and support each other. He also stated, “We have won 10 matches and have lost about 3 games. The playoffs are in 2 weeks and we are ready!”
Kyle Kim member of the boys’ tennis said, “The team tries as hard as they can and we all work hard to keep getting better and improving.” Kyle stated how the single lineups play and win most of the games and the double lineups have to practice more so that they can win as well.
Captain of the boys' tennis team Zachary P stated, “We practice outside school, and we as a team have a strong bond. Sometimes my teammates have challenges and they take the loss too personally.”
The team had their first win of the season on February 21, winning 7 to 0. Last week they won 13 to 5 against Crespi. Their upcoming game is this Thursday, April 18, it is an away game against North Hollywood High School. Let’s hope they can keep up their winning streak!
Member of the boy's tennis team Larry Barash and captain Zackary agreed that they: “are ready for the playoffs.”
Coach Lim states,” The boy's tennis team is doing extremely well considering we haven’t had courts for five years. The boys give 100% and are very dedicated to every match that we play. We’ve been playing some difficult teams like Sierra Canyon High School, Crest, Oakland, Taft, and every time they bring it. I am extremely proud of how they have been able to come back with wins while showing good sportsmanship.”
We as a school are so proud of the boy's tennis team and wish them luck as they go into playoffs!
