Daniel Truong: SOCES MVP of the Week 10/9

The second SOCES MVP of the Week is sophomore Daniel Truong! Coach Ross nominated Daniel for his current ranking as the #5 running back in the state and #1 in the Los Angeles City Section in terms of rushing yards. He has amassed 879 rushing yards so far this season. Not only has Daniel established himself as a star back in SOCES’ first year playing football since 2019, but he has also established himself as a linebacker. He currently leads the league in total tackles with 55, coupled along with 2 sacks to round out his impressive debut campaign so far. Daniel gained SOCES MVP of the Week for his impressive performance last Friday against Discovery Prep. He led the Knights to a 48-6 win with his line of 10 rushes for 210 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had 12 total tackles and 3 tackles for loss. As the season enters the final stretch with only 3 games remaining, Daniel and the Knights look to close it out strong.
