Teams will have separate coaches, with the first being the head coach, Coach Crockett, and the second being the assistant coach, Coach Paulina. This annual basketball game is more than just an ordinary game, it's a way to showcase the brand-new basketball team every year! It builds excitement for the upcoming basketball season and gives students, teachers, and fans a chance to support the players early on. This annual tradition has become a key part of SOCES school spirit, bringing everyone together for an entertaining night. It’s a perfect way to kick off the season and cheer on both teams as they showcase their skills and prepare for a successful year ahead! Coach Crockett stated, “This game is going to be very exciting! Last year we went into triple overtime, and the year before we went into overtime as well. Come check out our new basketball team for this season and our halftime shows from the dance production and cheer team! Our first game is on November 15th at Taft, which is a Division 1 school. Everyone should come out and support!” Make sure to purchase tickets beforehand at the front gate because seats are limited.
