Speech and Debate State Championships

This weekend, our Speech and Debate team will be going to the State Championships in Carlsbad, CA. One of the members, Carla Robinson has explained to us how they got the ticket to State Championships. “You have to compete out of these two open league tournaments that are open throughout the year. You need to make sure to go to at least 2 of these tournaments. The next step to take is to compete in a State qualifier Tournament and place 5th or 6th in the event you are competing” Carla Robinson states. “At the State Championships, we will be competing with our speech about 3 times and move on to the semifinals, and then the finals. If we can make it” We can see how confident she is because her only goal is to make it to the finals. We can expect great results from our Speech and Debate Team.
