Winter Formal Preview

The 2025 Winter Formal is set to be on Friday, January 31. It will begin at 6:30 pm and end at 10:30 pm, making it approximately a 4 hour event. SOCES ASB is putting in hard work to plan and run this year’s Winter Formal for all high school students who want to come and hang out with their friends from school. Many have been wondering and after much anticipation, the Winter Formal theme is revealed to be Winter Wonderland. 

There is excitement leading up to the formal due to its theme and its unique location. This year, the event will be held at the Olympia Banquet Hall in Van Nuys which is only about 8 minutes away from SOCES. Many who plan to attend the formal are extremely excited to come to the Olympia Banquet Hall as well as eat dinner available to them with their friends. The dinner that will be served with a couple of options to choose from including appetizers. 

Christina Sargsyan, one of the SOCES ASB members who is in charge of this year’s Winter Formal stated, “This year there is more excitement about the new location with there also being a photo booth and a DJ.” SOCES ASB has been planning this formal since about the middle of November and have worked so hard since then. Presale for the Winter Formal went on sale this week for $65 from January 8th to January 17th. If you missed the presale, tickets were available for $70 from January 20 to the last day to buy tickets, which is January 28. Students can buy their Winter Formal tickets at nutrition or lunch at the flagpole. In order to attend, you must’ve turned in your trip slip by January 29th (2 days before the event). 

Winter formal is sure to be a fun night where students will come to hang out with friends and bond with classmates, as well as have a night of a lifetime and a great high school experience!
