It was a disappointing homecoming for the SOCES Knights football team as they lost to South LA College Prep, 52–8, on Friday, October 23.
The SOCES Knights could not find an answer to stopping South LA’s run game, and they dominated the entire game with their rushing attack.
The Knights were able to score their lone touchdown with just seconds left in the game.
WIth the loss, the Knight fall to 2-6 on the season that has featured multiple shut out losses. One of their wins was a forfeit.
Despite the tough loss, the evening offered plenty of reasons to celebrate Knight pride.
The game also marked Senior Night for both the football players and cheerleaders, honoring their dedication and contributions to their respective programs. Adding to the excitement, Dance Pro performed, while the junior cheer team took the field to showcase its spirit and talent.
Although the scoreboard didn’t go the Knights’ way, the night brought the SOCES community together to recognize its seniors and celebrate school spirit.
