The Sherman Oaks CES Knights wrapped up their regular season with a tough 64-24 loss to East Valley. Even though the Knights couldn’t come away with a win, their season isn’t over just yet. SOCES has officially earned a spot in the playoffs and will get another chance to compete.
East Valley came into the game undefeated and showed why, improving its record to 10-0 with the victory. The loss leaves the Knights with a 2-7 overall record and a 1-2 record in Valley League play.
Next up, the Knights will face Valley Oaks CES in the playoffs. The two teams have already met once this season, back on October 9, when Valley Oaks came away with a 46-0 win. This time, the Knights will be looking to bounce back and give their opponents a much tougher challenge.
The regular season may not have gone exactly how the Knights hoped, but making the playoffs gives the team another opportunity to prove itself. It’s win or go home now, and the Knights will be looking to make the most of their postseason opportunity.
